About Me

Hello! I am Jessica Quarnstrom and I am the Author of AVA LORAY WANTS TO PLAY and co-author of SNARLY CARLY.

Ava LoRay Wants to Play was written to help teach little ones about responsibility — the idea of work before play.  This is something I try to teach my own children.

Snarly Carly was written in loving memory of my mom, Shanda.  She was a hairstylist who had "magic hands" -- meaning she had a way of making everyone who sat in her chair feel beautiful.  Carly visits Shanda's hair salon for her first haircut, and must overcome her fears of what could go wrong.

I am a busy mom of two young boys, Austin and Aiden.  Writing a children’s book has been a dream of mine since I was a child myself.  I attended young writer's conferences as a child, and writing has always brought me joy. 

 

I currently reside in St. Michael, Minnesota with my two boys, and our dog, Linc.  I enjoy writing, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
