Ava LoRay wants to play, not be stuck inside all day to clean her room. But it's going to take FOREVER! How can she manage the task when it all seems too overwhelming?

This humorous picture book from debut author Jessica Quarnstrom teaches children about responsibility. Complete with a cleaning checklist for littles to clean like Ava, this story is perfect for children ages 3-7 who love characters like FANCY NANCY.

About Me

Hello! I am the Author of AVA LORAY WANTS TO PLAY.  My character, Ava LoRay, was inspired in memory of my beloved friend, Savannah, who tragically passed away in 2013, and my Grandmother, Janet LoRay, who passed away in 2019.

The idea of Ava LoRay Wants to Play is to teach little ones about responsibility — the idea of work before play.  This is something I try to teach my own children.

I am a busy stay-at-home mom of two young boys, Austin and Aiden.  Writing a children’s book has been a dream of mine since I was a child myself.  I attended young writer's conferences as a child, and writing has always brought me joy.

I currently reside in Otsego, Minnesota with my husband, Joe, my two boys, and our dog, Linc.  I enjoy writing, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
